As a global organisation AIA have always managed a risk mitigation strategy that will enable our teams to continue to work and operate without impact to our clients and customers. As the government travel rating around DFAT4 (Do Not Travel) is adjusted in relation to the COVID-19 virus, there are underwriting considerations that AIA need to take into consideration. Applicants who have listed the DFAT4 (Do Not Travel) destinations as recently travelled to on their application form will be impacted until such time that the travel rating is reduced. Currently, the DFAT4 rating is impacting a few countries which are at level DFAT4 (Do Not Travel) and there are several other countries with ratings only slightly below DFAT4 due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 virus.
