AIA Australia has announced it will waive insurance premiums for six months for eligible policy holders affected by the devastating floods in Queensland and bushfires in Tasmania.
AIA is one of Australia’s leading life insurance companies, protecting the health and wellbeing of more than 3.5 million Australians.
AIA holders of Priority Protection policies in North Queensland and Tasmania who have qualified for particular Government assistance packages are eligible for the premium waiver and will also have any lost policy documents replaced.
“At AIA, our purpose is to make a difference in people’s lives, and we are committed to supporting our customers when they need it most,” said Damien Mu, Chief Executive, AIA Australia and New Zealand.
“We know that at times of incredible emotional and financial stress like this, every little bit helps, so we are waiving premiums for six months to assist our customers to get back on their feet.”
AIA Australia has also written to its adviser network, to ensure advisers are aware of the assistance and can extend this offer to eligible clients.
To access the premium waiver assistance, policy holders or their advisers are requested to email their formal Assistance Package approval documents for one of the eligible Government assistance packages to firstname.lastname@example.org by 11 May 2019.
