AIA Australia is delighted to announce that David Beckham, OBE will visit Sydney in November of this year in his role as AIA’s Global Ambassador.
The former England football captain was appointed to the role in 2017 to support AIA in its goal of helping people live healthier, longer, better lives.
“I’m really looking forward to being back in Australia with AIA to support their One Change Campaign. The work they do to support a healthier longer better life is so important and I am proud to be part of it” said David Beckham when announcing his involvement with the AIA Vitality summit.
Damien Mu, CEO of AIA Australia and New Zealand, said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome David Beckham to Australia and look forward to him joining us in championing our cause of making Australia the healthiest and most protected nation in the world.”
Mr Beckham will attend several events in Sydney, including the third annual AIA Vitality Summit, where he will join a world-class line-up of international and local experts in health and wellbeing. AIA Australia initiated the AIA Vitality Summit in 2016 to help identify how the corporate sector can collaborate to find innovative solutions that drive positive change and improve the health and wellbeing of Australians.
Mr Mu added: “At AIA Australia and New Zealand, we embrace shared value as a business that looks to drive positive outcomes for our customers and also broader society through what we do in life, health and wellbeing to make a difference. The AIA Vitality Summit, similar to our Onelife platform, was born out of that desire to effect positive change while recognising that if we are to truly help Australians and New Zealanders be healthier, we can’t do it on our own. We need to work with others in the corporate sector, alongside health experts and government if we are to succeed. AIA Vitality is one of the key programs that is helping members improve their health and live healthier, longer, better lives. David Beckham is a fantastic ambassador for AIA Vitality - he lives and breathes good health and is passionate about helping others do the same.”
During his visit, Mr Beckham will also attend an AIA soccer skills clinic as well as an AIA Vitality member event.
Further details will be provided closer to the visit.
