Premier League stars host a special football clinic for Sydney primary school students as AIA encourages healthier, more active school communities

Friday, 31 July – Students from Camdenville Public School will swap the classroom for the football pitch today, taking part in a special skills clinic with players from English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur.

Hosted by leading life and health insurer AIA Australia at Centennial Park Soccer Club, the clinic will give Year 5 and 6 students the opportunity to learn football skills from Tottenham Hotspur players while encouraging them to embrace physical activity, teamwork and healthy habits.

AFL legend and AIA Ambassador Shane Crawford will also help host the clinic, joining students for a series of football drills, skills challenges and group activities.
The event forms part of AIA Healthiest Schools 2026, AIA Australia’s free national initiative encouraging students to build healthier, happier and more sustainable school communities.

Now in its fourth year, the program gives schools access to curriculum-aligned teaching resources across nutrition, physical activity, mental wellbeing and sustainability, while also inviting students to develop real-world health initiatives through a national competition with up to $150,000 in prizes.

As the Global Principal Partner of Tottenham Hotspur, AIA shares the club’s commitment to encouraging people to lead healthier, longer, better lives.
The clinic brings that partnership to life for local students, using the influence of professional sport to demonstrate how physical activity can support health, confidence and connection.

AIA Australia CEO and Managing Director Damien Mu said experiences with sporting role models could help inspire children to develop positive habits from an early age.

“Physical activity plays an important role in children’s health, wellbeing and confidence, and schools are one of the most important environments for establishing those habits.

“Through AIA Healthiest Schools, we’re giving educators and students practical tools to create healthier school communities, while experiences like today’s clinic show children that getting active can also be enjoyable, social and rewarding.
“We’re proud to bring our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur to life in this way and give students from Camdenville Public School the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading footballers.”

The AIA Healthiest Schools competition invites students aged 5–16 to identify a health or wellbeing challenge within their school and create an initiative to solve it. Previous winning projects have tackled issues including healthy eating, physical activity, mental wellbeing and sustainability.

Schools can win a share in a $150,000 prize pool to help bring their ideas to life or expand existing wellbeing initiatives. The competition is open until 3rd December 2026, with further details available on the AIA Healthiest Schools website.
