AIA Australia, one of the largest life insurers in Australia, announced the launch of four key changes to its health and wellbeing program AIA Vitality: These changes include enhanced benefit and reward options and are effective as of 30 October, a timing which coincided with AIA Vitality reaching over 100,000 members.
Damien Mu, CEO of AIA Australia and New Zealand, said: “We at AIA Australia are very excited that not only are we continually enhancing the program and providing more value to our
but also that AIA Vitality has hit this important milestone: It means we are making a difference to help over 100,000 people live healthier, longer, better lives, and demonstrates meaningful progress towards our vision for Australia to be the healthiest and most protected nation.”
The new benefits include the launch of a pharmacy partnership with TerryWhite Chemmart as the AIA Vitality Health Check provider. This change will make it easier for AIA Vitality members to get to know their health and earn AIA Vitality points, explained Damien Mu: “We welcome TerryWhite Chemmart as our new pharmacy partner – as there is a widespread network of participating pharmacies across Australia, it’s easy and convenient for members to complete the Health Check, earn points and get rewarded for their healthy efforts.”
A Health Check assesses key biometrics including the Body-Mass-Index (BMI), blood pressure, total cholesterol and random blood glucose which are proven indicators for general health.
AIA Vitality members can receive one free AIA Vitality Health Check at a participating TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacy each membership year. Anthony White, Chief Executive Officer at TerryWhite Chemmart, said: “It’s great to see that AIA Vitality members have already booked several hundred Health Checks in just the first weeks of our partnership commencing. Our pharmacists are looking forward to assisting AIA Vitality members throughout their health journey.”
In addition to the partnership with TerryWhite Chemmart, AIA Vitality welcomed a new flight partner, Virgin Australia, offering up to 50% cashback on eligible domestic and international flights as a reward for members. Members will also get a further option to use their shopping vouchers with the introduction of ticket sales and distribution company Ticketmaster as a new retail partner, joining shopping rewards providers Myer, Woolworths, Dymocks and rebel. Ticketmaster will replace JB Hi-Fi. AIA Vitality has also extended the existing partnership with Fitness First to bring in 60 additional locations to complete the AIA Vitality Fitness Assessment. Fitness First gyms are offering this assessment to AIA Vitality members since 5 December 2018.
AIA Vitality was introduced to the Australian market in 2014 by AIA Australia. More information about AIA Vitality can be found on the AIA Vitality website.
