From 9 November, exciting updates to Priority Protection will bring even more value to clients who prioritise their health. Keep a look out for an email with full details on how your clients could benefit.

From 9 November 2025, there are some key Priority Protection changes that may impact your draft quotes and applications: 

In line with our ongoing efforts to simplify our Priority Protection product and due to limited take up from our customers, the optional Waiver of Premium benefit will be removed from sale. 

To ensure our new business occupation ratings are in line with our pricing assumptions, some occupation ratings will be upgraded, and some will be downgraded. If an occupation rating has been downgraded, it could result in a higher new business premium or more restrictive cover. A full list of downgraded occupation ratings can be viewed below. 
 

While we don't anticipate these changes impacting many customers, if you are submitting an application with the optional Waiver of Premium benefit, or for a customer who falls into one of the below occupation categories, we recommend that you consider submitting these applications by 8 November 2025 to ensure you secure the lower premium and desired features and benefits.  

For the upcoming product release, there won’t be a grace period as in most cases, you will see a reduction in year one premium. This means that any quotes that were created before 9 November but not yet submitted will need to be recalculated before they can continue.
