One of the biggest traps a parent can face - even before their child is born - is the expectation they must know all the do's and don'ts from the outset.
"It's this overload of information, basically," says Meaghan Meredith, a first-time parent and former music industry professional who recently welcomed her daughter, Juni. "All these things that you should or shouldn't be doing - you can get overwhelmed if you don't just take it one day at a time."
Being a parent is an enormous responsibility, but it's totally normal to learn on the job. You're not a finished product the moment the baby arrives, and as your child grows over time, you'll find yourself growing too.
