Run alongside Sylvia Jeffreys, Laura Henshaw, Marika Day and Shane Crawford at this year's City2Surf.
At AIA, we're passionate about being active to stay healthy. On Sunday, August 11 we're teaming up with Youngcare Australia – a charity dedicated to providing freedom and choice to young people living with a disability – to run the City2Surf, the world’s largest fun run, in Sydney.
We’d love you to join us on the day, alongside AIA Vitality ambassadors Sylvia Jeffreys, Laura Henshaw, Marika Day and Shane Crawford.
If you’re keen to be part of the fun, we’re also offering some great prizes to help you get fundraising for this noble cause.
The first 300 people to sign up and raise $150 will get two tickets to our VIP post-race marquee on Bondi Beach and get to enjoy great food and coffee, free massages and, of course, a chance to hang with our ambassadors (and grab some selfies). You’ll also get a free pair of JAGGAD tights or shorts and a cobranded t-shirt, valued at $259.
Plus, the three biggest fundraisers will each win a $1,000 JAGGAD voucher, a $200 endota spa voucher and a Garmin device.
To get involved, simply register and start fundraising. Aside from the health benefits, you’ll enjoy from the act of helping others – you’re bound to have a great time.
If you can’t make it on the day but would still like to get behind the cause, you can also donate to Team Youngcare directly.
Established in 2005, Youngcare is dedicated to helping young people with high care needs find age-appropriate living spaces. Unfortunately, young Australians living with disabilities are often placed in inappropriate residential care facilities – like senior living homes – due to a lack of appropriate housing. Youngcare works to create housing options that allow residents to live with dignity and freedom.
Beyond creating living options, Youngcare also works closely with young people to facilitate grants of up to $10,000 to keep individuals at – or return them to – home.
