Many Australians have once again found themselves facing forces of nature beyond their control. As wild rains and flooding have swept through, and continue to impact, parts of New South Wales and Queensland we know it’s a particularly challenging time for some of our customers.
When disaster strikes, we look for ways to make tough times a little easier – and support those who’ve helped those in need.
2022 flood assistance package
Eligible AIA Health customers who have been impacted by the recent New South Wales or Queensland floods may be eligible for financial support, available through our Flood Assistance Package.
Customers residing in flood-affected areas can choose from two forms of assistance:
- Waive health insurance premium for three months while still having full access to their cover, or
- Suspend their policy for up to two years.

If you’re an AIA Health customer who has served, or is serving, as an Emergency Services volunteer in the affected regions your premium can be waived for one month.
How to apply
Clients can apply for our Flood Assistance Package by 1 June 2022 on 1300 693 058 between 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday (AEST/AEDT).
They will need to supply evidence of their Centrelink Disaster Recovery Payment or Allowance. Those who served, or are serving, as an Emergency Services volunteer will need to supply a copy of their Volunteer ID card and Deployment Notice.
