Health insurance premiums usually increase on 1 April each year. In support of our members, we’re delaying their increase until 1 September 2022, keeping more money in their pockets.
Everyone could do with a hand getting back on track after a challenging couple of years so we’re delaying premium increases for AIA Health and putting money back in pockets.
Here’s how AIA Health is continuing to help their Members through the COVID-19 pandemic.
1. Premium increase delayed
2. Extras value protect – extended in to 2022
Introduced in 2020 to help address the impact of restrictions through the pandemic, this benefit provides protection when it’s difficult to get the most value out of Extras cover. For the 2021 period, the average eligible AIA Health member will receive a refund of $226.
How does it work?
If you client is eligible, their refund is calculated using the total they paid in Extras premiums, less any Extras claims payments they’ve received*. The percentage of their protection value is determined by their AIA Vitality Status, the higher the AIA Vitality Status, the higher the value. Find out more here.
