Our CEO, Damien Mu, kicked off the three days highlighting the challenges that we all experience and the opportunities that are available.
AIA has continued to champion advocacy as we have done in previous years. Our Day One program included Government, AFCA, Associations and the newly appointed CEO for CALI.
Day two shifted focus to your advice business and the importance of marketing, branding and language. To kick things off, Stephanie Phillips, Chief Shared Value & Marketing Officer AIA Australia and Kelly Thomas, General Manager Brand & Marketing AIA Australia, discussed the All or Something’s of Brand Marketing and how we have been tackling the challenge.
This was followed by Adam Ferrier, Co-found of Thinkerbell, who discussed brand. This sparked conversations within the room, chat box and within the states. Adam’s presentation combined great insight, humour and some food for thought; what’s your brand?
Leigh Crymbal, returning once again for the Adviser Summit, followed Adam with both presentations creating a nice link with brand and language. As always, Leigh’s discussion on language sparked interest amongst attendees.
On our final day, we invited AIA Health Expert, Dr Preeya Alexander who spoke of her experience as a General Practitioner with regards to patient health and touched on how financial wellbeing can impact your physical and emotional wellbeing.
We saw a demonstration illustrating the power of an Apple Watch Series 8 and how AIA Vitality members who use the watch have improved their engagement, leading to better health and wellbeing outcomes.
Alison McLean, General Manager Shared Value Partnerships AIA Australia, discussed the RAND study and how Vitality has impacted health outcomes for clients. This was followed by Sasha Carey, Vitality Coach AIA Australia, who updated attendees on the new reporting features for advisers to use.
And finally, we were excited to bring you AIA Ambassador, Ash Barty with Shane Crawford as host. Many in the chat rooms mentioned how humble Ash is, an amazing trait to have from someone who has achieved so much in her career, and this was mixed in with Shane’s fun natured approach to hosting duties.
Overall, three fantastic days, and we look forward to bringing this event to you again next year.
