We’ve used hokkien noodles in this stir fry but you could swap for any other noodle or even serve it on a bed of rice or quinoa!
Ingredients
1 x 450g package hokkien noodles
3 tbsp soy sauce (GF if required)
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp corn flour (GF if required)
¼ cup water or beef stock (GF if required)
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 onion thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
½ large head broccoli, cut into florets
1 carrot, sliced
500g sirloin beef, fat trimmed and cut into strips
Sesame seeds or green onion to serve (optional)
3 tbsp soy sauce (GF if required)
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp corn flour (GF if required)
¼ cup water or beef stock (GF if required)
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 onion thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
½ large head broccoli, cut into florets
1 carrot, sliced
500g sirloin beef, fat trimmed and cut into strips
Sesame seeds or green onion to serve (optional)
Method
- Cook noodles according to packet instructions.
- Mix together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, corn flour, and water/beef stock in a bowl.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan and add the olive oil. Add the onion and garlic and cook until translucent (around 2 minutes). Add the broccoli and carrot and cook for a further 2 minutes or until softened. Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.
- Add the beef to the pan and toss for 2-3 minutes or until browned.
- Return vegetables to the pan and pour sauce over to coat. Toss and cook the beef further. Once the sauce is bubbling and has thickened add in the noodles.
- Top with sesame seeds or green onion
Notes:
- For a GF option, swap the hokkien noodles for rice noodles
