    With AIA New Business, you’ve been using DocuSign® for some of our Retail Insurance Suspense Management Administration requirements for the past 18 months. We’re excited to say that not only are we enabling more Administration requirements to be completed through DocuSign, we’re also automating the issuance of these requirements!

    What are we doing?

    We’ve identified the most common Suspense Management Administration requirements that are sent to your customers to complete as part of the policy application process. 

    We know the current process is not so great and takes a lot of time and effort for your customers to complete and for you to retrieve.

    We are replacing this process by utilising the digital capabilities of DocuSign® to enable your customers to complete and sign requirements all with their smart phone, tablet or computer. No more printing and posting documents!

    To make sure we designed this to work for you, we have run a pilot solution thoroughly over the last few months, engaging a number of Advisers to gain insights and feedback. We have been very encouraged by the positive feedback received to date so we are looking forward to sharing this more broadly. 

    How does it work?

    Upon policy submission through eApp, the relevant documents will be issued in real-time and pre-filled with your client’s information.

    These are sent to you via DocuSign®. You will receive the documents first which will allow you to be in control of the process and have a conversation with the client first.

    Once you have checked the relevant details and approved the document, these will automatically be sent to your client’s inbox, ready for them to complete and sign digitally.

    Once your client has completed and submitted the required information, the details are sent straight back to AIA and the systems are updated in real time, speeding up the current process.

    By issuing these administration requirements via DocuSign® and automating the process, we will simplify the opportunity for customers to complete the outstanding requirements thereby save on time and effort spent following up on missing information. This also means more time for you to focus on the important stuff!

    For those who choose to continue to follow a paper-based trail, documents can still be printed through DocuSign®. However we encourage you to give the new way ago so you can focus on the more important stuff. Along the way if you need some help, please contact your AIA account representative and we can walk through the process with you.

    When is this happening?

    We can’t wait to roll out the changes to all of our AIA partners around the middle of June 2020, but it does not stop there. Further requirements documents are being worked through at the moment with more releases planned over the next few months.
