Making a difference

Community Volunteering

Making a real difference is about rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. That’s why we give of our time to support people and communities in need with eligible employees given one day per year to participate in volunteering activities.

Our volunteering is channelled through three partner organisations: Ardoch Youth Foundation, United Way and OzHarvest.

Ardoch Youth Foundation

A not-for-profit organisation that provides education support to children and young people in disadvantaged communities. We support Ardoch Youth Foundation via initiatives such as:

  • Literacy Buddy programs to assist primary school children with their reading/writing skills and providing an adult role model for them
  • Mock-interview programs preparing young adults for their future in the workforce

United Way

United Way works to advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for everyone. We do this by focusing on the building blocks of life – education, income and health. We invite people and institutions to make a difference by giving, advocating and volunteering. United Way recruits people and organisations from across the country who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done.

OzHarvest

OzHarvest is the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it, direct and free of charge, to over 600 charities providing much needed assistance to vulnerable men, women and children across the countries capital cities and regional communities.

OzHarvest has delivered more than 38 million meals since 2004 and saved more than 12,000 tonnes from landfill.
