While businesses have relied on ink-original signatures and paper-based transactions for centuries, a rapidly growing base of our clients, advisers, partners and staff expect to see paperless, digital transactions for approvals and electronic signatures today. These digital transactions have proved to be much faster and less costly than paper-based transactions. We are excited to announce that we have commenced a trial of the e-signature software DocuSign, within our Suspense Management team.
DocuSign is an online platform that enables people to electronically sign agreements, contracts and other types of paperwork. DocuSign’s platform is intuitive, flexible, scalable, reliable and secure. And its electronic signature capabilities offer more comprehensive controls than ink signatures provide.
Initially DocuSign will only be used by our Suspense Management team, and the ten most common and used forms/questionnaires will be set up as DocuSign compatible. If/when these are applicable to you, you will be contacted by a member of the New Business team to take your through the process before using DocuSign.
We will be monitoring the trial closely, and if successful we will be adding to the number of DocuSign compatible forms/questionnaires over time.
No. As AIA has our own DocuSign account, you do not need to open your own account to use this service.
If you already have an electronic signature account from another provider, we will also accept documents which are electronically signed via your provider’s platform.
For more information, or if you have any questions, contact your CDM or CDA.
